Rhodes Town
Rhodes Town combines a well-preserved medieval center with a modern waterfront district. The UNESCO-listed Old Town is enclosed by 4 km of defensive walls built by the Knights of St. John and contains major landmarks such as the Palace of the Grand Master, the Street of the Knights, the Archaeological Museum, and several Byzantine and Ottoman monuments. Its narrow streets are lined with historic inns, churches, courtyards, and small shops. Outside the walls, the New Town stretches along the coast and includes Mandraki Harbour, cafés, restaurants, shopping streets, and a promenade connecting the city’s beaches and marina, offering views across the Aegean Sea.
