Typical Danish dishes

If you also love good food, you’ll love Denmark, as it has many traditional and gourmet dishes. The country’s best known food is Smørrebrød, a sandwich made from rye bread with meat, fish, cheese and sauces. Denmark is surrounded by the sea, so there’s no shortage of fresh fish. If you’d rather eat meat, try flæskesteg, a traditional dish of roast pork with a crunchy crust that is prepared using bay leaves. For desert, round off your meal with sweet treats such as traditional Danish ice cream with all the toppings. Enjoy your meal!
