A city of colourful tiles

Seville is the capital of Andalusia. For centuries, this region was ruled by the Moors. The Moorish influences can be seen in the city’s many beautiful buildings. Be sure to visit the Real Alcázar, the historic royal palace. The colourful ceramic tiles (azulejos) that decorate the building make it special. You will come across these tiles at other places in the city as well. For example, the benches at Seville's most famous square, Plaza de España, are decorated with them. The nearby Parque de Maria Luisa is a great place for a quick rest. Take your time and enjoy the Spanish life around you!

"It's hard not to love Seville. Here you will find the most magnificent buildings and eat the best tapas in Spain on every street corner."

Tapas on every street corner

Time for a snack and a drink? There are countless bars and restaurants in the various districts of Seville. Wherever you book your hotel, the atmosphere will be unique. Barrio de Santa Cruz is the city’s former Jewish quarter. You will come across more tourists here, but at the same time you will find many narrow, charming streets. Triana is a neighbourhood on the other side of the Guadalquivir, the river that runs through Seville. This is an authentic working-class district, once the cradle of bullfighters and flamenco. Do you like to eat your tapas where the locals eat? Then make sure to visit the Triana neighbourhood!
