Start your exploration on the lively Piazza Unità d'Italia, where the grandeur of Trieste as a trading city is still palpable. Close to the square you will find the Teatro Romano, a Roman amphitheatre from the 1st century AD preserved in the heart of the city. Climb up to the Castello di San Giusto for a breathtaking view over the city and the Adriatic Sea. The Museo Revoltella holds an impressive collection of modern Italian art.
