The nice thing about Nice is that the Côte d'Azur is only a two-hour flight away. The largest city of the region, Nice is famous for the Promenade des Anglais. Stroll along this 5-km long boulevard and marvel at the impressive buildings and tropical palm trees. The beach and the sea are always close, so it’s easy to take a refreshing dip. You can also stay cool under the trees in the Parc du Château. From here you enjoy a breathtaking view over the city and discover the ruins of the Chateau de Nice. Worked up an appetite? Head over to the old neighbourhood of Vieux Nice for a salade Niçoise, the signature dish of this French city. From a river gorge to a red carpet

Do you want to venture beyond Nice? It’s easy to explore the other highlights of the beautiful Côte d'Azur with a rental car. For example, head inland towards Les Gorges du Verdon, also known as the Grand Canyon of Europe. You will be rewarded with beautiful views along this river gorge.
