Fuerteventura is full of places worth exploring, all within easy driving distance.  In the middle of the island is Betancuria, the old capital, with quiet historic streets and mountains all around. On the west coast is El Cotillo, about 20–30 minutes by car from Corralejo. It is famous for its beaches, lagoons, and lighthouses. In the north, you will find Corralejo, a lively seaside town next to Parque Natural de Corralejo, which is known for its large sand dunes and beautiful ocean views.

On the east coast, around Caleta de Fuste, the sea is calm. You can swim, take a boat trip, or watch dolphins. You can also explore the island by bike or car.
